Dr. Nathan Nguyen, DC

Hello! My name is Dr. Nathan Nguyen, and I grew up in Orange County, California. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. During my time there, I was also part of a hip-hop dance team. One time during a routine, I felt a sharp pain in my low back that left me unable to sit in class. I did not think anything of it and suffered with the pain for months. The pain went away eventually, but would it resurface on and off. Years later, while working in the biotechnology field and pursuing medical school, I was training for a marathon and, again, injured my low back while putting on a sock; however, this time the pain was much more severe and even shot down into my toes, rendering me unable to work, drive, or run. My boss referred me to a chiropractor and within a few visits, utilizing a diverse treatment plan of joint manipulation, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and rehab exercises, I became pain-free and was able to resume working and training again.

I had never known about chiropractic before, and I felt that this was a calling for me to be able to achieve my passion in life in caring for others. I decided to drop my plans of attending medical school to pursue chiropractic school instead. I chose to attend Texas Chiropractic College in Houston, Texas due to its evidence-informed curriculum, and I graduated with my Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2018 as Salutatorian of my class with Summa Cum Laude honors. I also have a passion for exercise and chose to also complete a dual Master of Science in Exercise & Health Sciences at the University of Houston, Clear Lake during my time at Texas Chiropractic College.

Combining both my chiropractic & exercise physiology knowledge, I have the ability to care for my patients on another level. Using evidence-informed treatment techniques, nutrition, and exercises, I am committed to providing my patients with the best care available to them to get them out of pain fast, help them become stronger, and keep them moving every day of the year. I have experience working in athletic facilities treating baseball & soccer athletes. I have also co-managed patients with Doctors of Physical Therapy, Medical Doctors, Pain Management Specialists, Neurologists, and Orthopedists. I also have experience treating individuals of all ages, from children to seniors, and managing a wide spectrum of conditions & injuries from fractures to sprains, strains & disc herniation. My hope and goal is to help you navigate the complexities of your condition with minimal stress and ease.

Outside the office, I like to enjoy my time with my spouse, 2 cats, family & friends. I also enjoy strength training, hiking, running, cooking, photography and traveling.
